Dr. Seuss's The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T

In this 1953 fantasy musical, young Bart Collins bemoans the fact that his mother forces him to take piano lessons with Dr. Terwilliker. When Bart falls asleep at his piano, he is transported to a nonsensical dreamland where Dr. T is in control. Dr. T has not only enslaved his mother using some sort of hypnosis, he is also in the process of opening a piano school where 500 boys will be forced to play a giant piano. With the help of his friend, plumber August Zabladowski, they attempt to not only free Bart's mother, but try to stop the school from opening at all.

In the only feature film ever written by Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss), it is no surprise that not only are there stairs and ladders leading nowhere, but dance fight numbers, roller skate fighting numbers, and interesting songs sprinkled throughout. There's no way you can watch this movie without seeing Seuss' influence! A very interesting watch on the Ov Guide roku channel.
